I had already photographed the Fieldfare in December 2012 but I had also wanted to be able to photograph these lovely migrant visitors in the snow and fortunately for me there was heavy snow forecast for Friday 18th January 2013,I had 3 days available to me so I headed out to a local spot that the birds had been visiting since October feeding on fallen fruit in an old orchard and on arrival I saw large flocks of Fieldfare non of which were on the ground or perched so it was going to be a matter of time and patience waiting for the birds to land and they did eventually land and perch and I was able to capture these images posted below.
