I planned a trip down to Dartmoor and even though the weather forecast was not looking so good I still decided to make the trip anyway, and I am so glad I did my main target was to be the Whinchat a bird that I have not had the opportunity to photograph before and upon arrival I eagerly grabbed my gear out of the car and headed off down the track, I located a couple of Whinchat sometime later and I then decided to set up my pop up hide nearby and I would then use this shelter as a temporary base between the rain shower`s mainly to keep the camera gear dry I was wearing my waterproof clothing so no real concerns there for me ,so shelter up birds located now it was time to get my first shots of this stunning little bird and a little while later I had some shot`s stored on my Compact flash card a quick look on the rear view LCD screen and all was looking good so a great start to the day, I did spend quite a few hours more trying to make sure I had some keeper shot`s which would make my trip down to Dartmoor all the more worth while and for me personaly it was definately worth all the effort......I have also posted a link below which will take you to the main Whinchat gallery for anyone interested, and thanks for your visit.
